Indie-Rock Latin America

@ RBC – Thursday May 12th, 2016

IRLA is a yearly festival that takes place in Deep Ellum – Dallas, TX. This event showcases independent musicians, artists, and artisans within the Latin American community along international touring bands on their way to SXSW. Indie-Rock Latin America is full of blended genres and the love for an always-evolving Latino culture.

The genres range from indie rock to experimental noise, reggae-brass, funk, and cumbia-house with influences from South, Central, and North America.

North Texas Latin Alternative Showcase

@ The Door – Thursday November 12th, 2015

As the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex grows in density and intensity, we find the Latin Alternative scene becoming more vibrant. DFW’s Latin Alternative Showcase will present seven bands and two DJs whom are based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The genres range from indie rock to experimental noise, reggae-brass, funk, and cumbia-house with influences from South, Central, and North America.

Branko @ That That Gallery – October 2nd, 2015

Branko is a DJ/Producer from Lisbon, Portugal who is the mastermind behind the global bass band Buraka Som Sistema. He just released his first solo album titled: Atlas and has an amazing performance at That That Gallery in Dallas along with local DJs Colly T & Left/Right. Visuals by Eric Trich.


Dengue Dengue Dengue! – August 7th, 2015

Dengue Dengue Dengue is a Tropical Bass duo. Behind the masks are Felipe Salmon and Rafael Pereira, two producers, dj’s and graphic designers from Lima-Perú. For their live performances they team up with Nadia Escalante (A.K.A. Vj Sixta) for a full audiovisual show.


Los Patos Poderosos @ The Wild Detectives (August 1st, 2015)

Los Patos Poderosos (literally The Mighty Ducks), is a Denton Chicha band. We know you know the word Denton, but we’re not that sure you know the word Chicha. Chicha is a Peruvian music style that mixes Cumbia and Andean music with Psychedelia and Surf Rock. So expect some lush rhythms by their two piece percussion section plus some mind altering melodies on the guitar and keyboards.



Nicolá Cruz – Colibria – Texas Tour (July, 2015)

Nicola Cruz’s music invokes the landscapes and rituals of his homeland, Ecuador, a country that is both home to the Andes mountains and the Amazon jungle. In 2012 Nicola collaborated with Nicolas Jaar’s now defunct label, Clown & Sunset. Prender el Alma, Nicola’s debut album, will be released later this year on ZZK Records.

Backyard show @ The Wild Detectives

On Saturday June 13th, the Wild Detectives Backyard turned into a journey through one of the richest and most eclectic music genres that ever existed; Hip Hop. DJ Love and MC Ekzile rocked the back patio of Wild Detectives with classic hip-hop spun and live MCing.


Indie-Rock LatinAmerica (2013)

Indie-Rock LatinAmerica is a festival that showcases international and national latino independent musicians.
This was our first year and we are very proud of the turn out.

Jazz In The Park (2012)

Jazz In The Park was a night of Jazz grooves and art installations in the beautiful garden of La Duni at NorthPark Center.

1111 Gallery on Dragon St. (2012)

1111 Gallery on Dragon St. was one of the most fun and experimental time of Chasquis.
We worked as music booking agents and throw the best parties ever.
It was a magical time and full of great memories. Many thanks to a great friend and artist: Eric Trich.


Dual Perspectives (2011)

Dual Perspectives was our first official Art Exhibit in the Dallas Area. We brought two great friends and awesome artists. Stepha Sandoval and Mauricio Fagoaga. Thanks to BrainWave for the amazing tunes, Renato Rimach for the awesome video, and Tony from Espumoso for the patience and support.


Visual High Tech Soul (2011)

Visual High Tech Soul is a yearly event that presents a blend of electronic music and visual arts. We have experimented monstly with computer art, visual projections, and analog/digital music producers. In the past three years, our home for Visual High Tech Soul has been the Canton Co-Op in Deep Ellum.
